President of Senegal due in Seoul next week for summit

SEOUL, Nov. 17 (Yonhap) -- Senegal's President Abdulaye Wade will arrive here
next week for a summit with his South Korean counterpart Lee Myung-bak and to
attend a Korea-Africa forum, Seoul's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said
Tuesday.

Wade will arrive Sunday on a four-day visit and meet with the heads of South
Korea's major businesses, including the state-run Korea Rural Community
Corporation and Samsung Construction and Trading Corporation.
"President Lee and President Wade will hold a summit and a state dinner on
Monday, Nov. 23, and exchange their opinions on ways to enhance their economic
cooperation and improve ties between the two countries," Cheong Wa Dae said in a
press release.
The Senegalese president will take part in the 2nd Korea-Africa forum in Seoul on
Tuesday and receive an honorary doctorate degree from Sookmyung Women's
University, it said.
