Shamlan affirms offering all facilities to Qatari investments

SANA'A, Nov.16 (Saba)
- Minister of Fisheries Mohammad Shamlan affirmed on Monday Yemen's keenness on
offering
all facilities to the Qatari investments in fisheries field.
During his meeting with Qatari ambassador in Sana'a Jassim al-Boainaain, Shamlan
pointed the importance of activating the bilateral cooperation areas between the
two brotherly
countries in the fishery field.
The meeting discussed aspects of support presented by Qatar in the fisheries field
particularly establishing service projects in the fish landing sites, topped by the
roads
linking the centers with the main production lines.
On the other hand, Shamlan discussed with the Omani ambassador in Sana'a Abdullah
al-Badi cooperation areas between Yemen and Oman in fields of fishing, marine
control and
inspection and management and quality.
The two sides stressed the necessity of activating joint work areas between the two
countries in regard to organizing seasons of fishing especially tuna and cracks in
the
territorial waters and unifying specifications and standards of fish quality to
regulate these products marketing and reduce smuggling.
