Three deaths due to swine flu, 139 fresh cases nationwide

New Delhi, Nov 16 (PTI) Three persons died due to
swine flu across India Monday, taking the nationwide toll due
to the pandemic to 526.
Out of the three deaths, two were reported from
Rajasthan and one from Maharashtra, a health ministry official
said here.
Four of the total 139 fresh cases reported during the
day had foreign travel history and the rest are indigenous.
The total number of cases have touched 15,550,
including those of today, the official said.
Of the cases reported during the day, the highest of
35 fresh cases were reported from Rajasthan, followed by Tamil
Nadu (24).
So far Maharashtra has registered the highest number
of 3,796 cases in the country after the outbreak of the viral
disease, followed by Delhi (3,761).
"Till date, samples from 79,797 people have been
tested for swine flu in government laboratories and a few
private laboratories across the country and 19.4 per cent of
them have been found positive," the official said. PTI SPC
