BC Card joins with U.S. company to offer ATM service in U.S.

SEOUL, Nov. 18 (Yonhap) -- BC Card Co., South Korea's leading credit and debit
card company, said Wednesday it has joined with a U.S. automated teller machine
(ATM) firm to let holders of its cards access ATM service in the United States.
The alliance between the South Korean credit card firm and Star Network enables
BC Card customers to get card services at 32,000 ATMs across the U.S.
It is the card company's second overseas ATM network deal after sealing an
agreement with China's Union Pay in March 2006.
Under the arrangement, BC Card holders will not have to pay the normal 1 percent
service charge for using an international card when making transactions at Star
Network ATMs.
