'Give Up Publications' jettisoned for rebels
SAADA, Nov. 19 (Saba) - The Yemeni army
and the Saada municipal authorities have called on the misled insurgents in Saada to
hand
themselves in to the authorities and give up their arms. The call was made for the
rest of the Houthi rebels who are still fighting the troops in some areas in the
province,
with hundreds of publications jettisoned in the areas where they are said to be
located urging them to stop the insurgency. They also identified the places where
the rebels
can surrender and give their weapons, saying the fighters can give up at police
stations and local authorities, local MP residences, tribal elders and trustworthy
social
dignitaries. The publications also read that those who surrender and give their
weapons would be safe. Hundreds of Houthi rebels, have been killed, wounded and
arrested since
the army launched an assualt against them in August that was prompted by rebel
persistent lawbreaking and violence. The rebels have been fighting the troops
seeking to reinstal
imamate rule since 2004. FR
