Russian parliamentary speaker to visit N. Korea: report

SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Yonhap) -- Sergei Mironov, chairman of the Federation Council of
Russia, was set to visit North Korea in the near future, the North's state media
reported Sunday.
The speaker of the upper house of the Russian parliament will "soon visit" North
Korea at the invitation of the North's Supreme People's Assembly, said a brief
dispatch from the North's Korea Central News Agency, monitored in Seoul.
The report did not specify when the Russian politician will make the trip or who
he was set to meet during his stay in the North.
