S. Korean parliamentary speaker to meet Hong Kong officials

SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyong-o
will meet with Hong Kong chief executive Donald Tsang and Legislative Council
president Jasper Tsang to discuss increased exchanges between the two countries,
aides in Seoul said Sunday.
Kim will meet with the two officials in Hong Kong on Monday after giving a
lecture at the Korean International School and meeting with correspondents there,
Kim's aides said.
Kim arrived in Hong Kong earlier Sunday as the last stop in his Asia tour which
began on Nov. 14. Kim also visited Hanoi and Beijing during the trip, discussing,
with his counterparts, ways of strengthening ties between the legislative bodies
of their country.
Donald Tsang Yam-Kuen is a veteran Chinese politician who assumed his current
position in 2005. The chief executive of Hong Kong, a position created after the
British rule, is the head of the government and ranks first in the Hong Kong
order of precedence.
Jasper Tsang Yok-sing was the founding chairman of the Democratic Alliance for
the Betterment of Hong Kong, the largest pro-Beijing political party in Hong
Kong, and was appointed president of the Legislative Council last year.
