IHCL plans to have more pieces of the exquisite art work,
furniture and crockery flown in from Europe and America to
replace the damaged ones.

The Taj, which is insured for Rs 1,000 crore, has so far
received Rs 130 crore and is yet to make the final claim for
an undisclosed amount.
"A rough estimate of the size of the Palace wing, which
is undergoing restoration is 300,000 sq ft," the statement
said.
The Taj has also beefed up internal security over the
past one year.
The hotel has been holding private multi-faith prayers
since November 14, which would continue till 24th of the
month, in commemoration of the events of the last year.
"On November 25, a private internal staff meeting will be
held and the new permanent place for the memorial will be
unveiled at the lobby of The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower as a
tribute to those who lost their lives," the hotel said.
The Tower Wing currently operates 268 rooms, including 13
suites and 26 new Taj Club Rooms. Besides, eateries like The
Zodiac Grill, Souk, Masala Kraft, Aquarius, Shamiana,
Starboard and La Patisserie are fully operational. PTI KV
