Jakarta, Nov 23 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to deliver a speech at Merdeka Palace here at 8 p.m on Monday.

Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said the presidential speech will be on the government's view of the recommendations submitted to the president recently by the fact-finding Team of Eight.

Julian said the presidential speech would also deal with reports from the National Police chief and the Attorney General's Office after they had studied the recommendations.

"The speech will deal with the recommendations from the Team of Eight and the reports from the National Police chief and Attorney General's Office," Julian said.

In his speech on Monday evening, the president is scheduled to announce to the public the steps to be taken following the recommendations.

In its report to the President, the team charged with verifying the legal process of the controversial case of anti graft officials, presented four conclusions on the legal process of anti graft officials Bibit Samad Riyanto and Chandra M Hamzah, the professionalism of police investigators and prosecutors, case brokers, and institutional reform.

The team has called for the dismissal of officials responsible for the legal process of the case and a reform in the police force and the attorney general's office.

The team has also asked the President to continue the efforts of reform and repositioning of personnel in the police force, the attorney general's office, the Corruption Eradication Commission and the agency for the protection of witnesses and victims without necessarily hurting the institutions' independence.
