Chinese governmental delegation to visit Russia.

MOSCOW, November 23 (Itar-Tass) -- A Chinese governmental delegation
headed by chairman of the Central Military Council Colonel-General Guo
Boxiong is arriving in Russia for a visit on Monday, chief of the Press
Service and Information Department of the Russian Defense Ministry Alexei
Kuznetsov told ITAR-TASS.

"The main aim of the visit of the Chinese delegation is the
participation in the work of the 14th meeting of the Russian-Chinese Joint
Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Technical Cooperation,
discussion of prospects for the development and strengthening of relations
between the two countries' defense departments," Kuznetsov said.
According to Kuznetsov, during the visit, the Chinese delegation will
visit a military unit reformed in accordance with a new image of the
Russian Armed Forces and the range Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan Region
where the Chinese military men will demonstrated promising samples of
armaments which are developed by Russian defense enterprises.
He recalled that the expansion of military and technical cooperation
between Russia and China is carried out with account of two states'
national interests and is based on the agreement between the governments
of Russia and China on military and technical cooperation as of November
24, 1992.
The Chinese delegation's visit will last till November 27.
