Hungarian president due in Seoul for summit talks

SEOUL, Nov. 23 (Yonhap) -- Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom will arrive here
next week on a state visit for a summit with his South Korean counterpart Lee
Myung-bak, Seoul's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said Monday.
The Lee-Solyom meeting will be held next Tuesday, marking the 20th anniversary of
diplomatic ties between the two countries, it said in a press release.
"President Lee will hold a summit and state dinner with President Solyom to
evaluate the 20 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries and to discuss
ways to expand their economic and trade relations, as well as their cooperation
in the cultural and science-technology sectors," it said.
The Hungarian president will meet with South Korea's parliamentary speaker and
visit an office of Samsung Electronics Co., the world's No. 1 computer memory
chipmaker, during his four-day trip here that ends Dec. 2.
He is also scheduled receive an honorary doctorate degree from Seoul's Yonsei
University.
