Kumho Tire to supply truck tires to Daimler AG

SEOUL, Nov. 23 (Yonhap) -- Kumho Tire Co., South Korea's second-largest tire
manufacturer, said Monday it plans to supply truck tires to German carmaker
Daimler AG.
Kumho Tire will supply the German automaker with tires for the Mercedes-Benz
Actros, a heavy duty truck to be sold in South Korea, the South Korean company
said.
Kumho Tire, however, said it could not reveal how many tires it will provide to
Daimler AG, citing a confidentiality clause.
The Mercedes-Benz Actros will hit the South Korean market starting the end of
November, Kumho Tire said.
The local tire manufacturer has been selling tires to the German automaker for
its A-Class sedans since February 2007.
