Kalyan refuses comment on Liberhan report

New Delhi, Nov 23 (PTI) Kalyan Singh, who was the Chief
Minister of India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh during the
Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya in 1992, Monday refused to
comment on the "leaked" portions of the Liberhan Commission
report which appeared in the media.
"I will not comment on the findings of the Liberhan
Commission till it is placed in Parliament," the former
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who is now an Independent
Member of Indian Parliament from Etah, told PTI.
Singh said though he has heard about certain portions of
the Commission's observations appearing in the media, he will
not react to them.
"I have not given any statement in the matter to
anybody," he said.
Earlier in the day, there was a furore in both Houses of
Parliament as Opposition demanded immediate tabling of the
Commission's report, after certain portions of the document
were allegedly "leaked" to the media. PTI ASI
