YEMEN, UK REVIEW EFFORTS OF COMBATING TERRORISM AND PIRACY
SANA'A, Nov.23 (Saba) - Yemen and UK reviewed here on Monday the
exerted efforts to combat terrorism and sea piracy and means of
promoting them to enhance security and stability in the region as
well as protecting the navigation routes in the Red Sea, the Arab
Sea and the African Horn.
In the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense
Affairs and Minister of Local Administration Rashad al-Alimi and
Commander-in-Chief Fleet of the UK Royal Navy Admiral Trevor Soar,
the two officials discussed the joint cooperation between armies of
the two friendly countries in field of training and means of
boosting them.
On the other hand, Minister of Defense Brig. Gen. Mohammad Ahmad Ali
met here with the British military official.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of coordination and
cooperation between the two sides to combat terrorist and sabotage
acts so as to ensure eradicating al-Qaeda network.
The two sides dealt with the cooperation in field of exchanging
military and security information and experiences between the two
countries' armies and coordination between the naval forces in the
two countries so as to ensure safety of the international navigation
in the region.
