MODERATE QUAKE HITS WAINGAPU, E NUSA TENGGARA
Jakarta, Nov 24 (ANTARA) - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on Richter scale hit Waingapu, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at 11 am Western Indonesian Time on Tuesday.
The epicenter of the earthquake which had no potential to create a tsunami, was located at 11.25 degrees southern latitude, 119.11 degrees eastern longitude and about 218 km southwest of Waingapu.
It was about 100 km under the sea surface, 311 km southeast of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), 318 km southeast of Labuhanbajo (NTT), 330 km southeast of Ruteng (NTT) and 358 km southeast of Sumbawabesar (NTB). ***
