Samsung Life selects 5 preferred arrangers for IPO


SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's top life insurer, Samsung Life Insurance
Co., has selected five foreign and local brokerages as preferred arrangers for
its initial public offering (IPO) next year, the company said Friday.

The insurer picked Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America-Merrill
Lynch to arrange the deal, aimed at raising working capital and boosting the
company's transparency, Samsung Life said.
Shinhan Investment Corp. and Korea Investment & Securities Co. were also chosen
as preferred arrangers, it said.
Samsung Life said on Nov. 16 it will list its shares on the Seoul main bourse in
the first half of 2010 after offering its shares to the public.
