By Tony Chang
SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Egypt have agreed to work together
more substantially in the development of renewable energy, defense and other
areas of bilateral interest, the Seoul government said Friday.
Ahmed Fathalla, Cairo's assistant foreign minister for Asia, held a working-level
meeting with Lee Yong-joon, Seoul's deputy foreign minister, on Thursday in
Seoul. The two discussed ways to enhance cooperation in renewable and nuclear
energy, defense and tourism, the South Korean foreign ministry said.
The two sides also promised to work closely on cultural events set for next year
to mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries'
