Repairs on site of train crash to begin when investigation over.
MOSCOW, November 28 (Itar-Tass) -- Railway workers will begin repairs
on the site of the Nevsky Express train crash in the Tver Region as soon
as the on-site investigation and rescue operation are over.
The Russian railways company RZD has told Itar-Tass repair teams will
be prepared to get down to work as soon as becomes possible.
The source said the materials and equipment necessary have been
brought to the area already.
"Undamaged coaches will be tugged to the nearest depot, and the
derailed ones, lifted by special cranes and put on platforms," the source
said.
At this moment the railway line in the area of the crash is closed to
traffic. All trains have to use bypass routes.
"At present over 50 passenger trains on the way are way behind time.
The delay averages eight hours," the RZD company said.
The company has promised that all passengers of the trains that are
being late will be getting free meals and water.
All those concerned have been advised to check the time of arrivals
and departures at information offices of their railway stations or use the
hot line 8-800-200-67-67.

MOSCOW, November 28 (Itar-Tass) -- The confirmed death toll from the
crash of the Nevsky Express train that occurred Friday evening on the
Moscow-St. Petersburg line stands at 25, Emergency Situations Minister
Sergei Shoigu told the crisis management conference at the crisis
management center, which began shortly after midnight, hours after the
incident.
"Twenty three died instantly and two others, in hospital," he said.
"Hospitals in the Novgorod and Tver regions have accommodated 87 of those
injured, and St. Petersburg hospitals, 15," the minister said.
"The whereabouts of 27 people who are known to have been on the train
remain unclear," Shoigu said.
The train was carrying 682 people - 653 passengers and 29 crew - coach
attendants and engine drivers.

MOSCOW, November 28 (Itar-Tass) -- Four to seven bodies may be found
inside the derailed Nevsky Express train, Health and Social Development
Minister Tatyana Golikova told the media early Saturday morning.
She confirmed the figures the emergency situations minister announced
earlier.
"Twenty three died instantly, and two others in ambulance vans,"
Golikova said.
"Also, we still do not know anything about 19 people, who are absent
from the lists of those killed and injured," she added.
Earlier, Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu said 27 people
remained unaccounted for.
Golikova said 71 of those injured had been taken to hospitals in the
Tver and Novgorod regions.
"Also, as you may know, one train brought to St. Petersburg 529
passengers, who were evacuated from the scene of the crash. Fifteen of
them were taken to hospitals at once, and another seven turned to medics
for first aid," Golikova said.
According to her sources, the number of those affected is 93. Shoigu
earlier mentioned a higher figure, 102.
The train was carrying 682 people - 653 passengers and 29 crew - coach
attendants and engine drivers.
The derailment occurred in the Tver Region, between Uglovka and
Lykoshyno, near the village of Khmelyovka, approximately 1.5 kilometers
away from the border with the Novgorod Region.
