WHIRLWIND DESTROYS DOZENS OF HOUSES IN TEMANGGUNG

Temanggung, C Java, Nov 29 (ANTARA) - Dozens of houses and a chip factory building were destroyed when a whirlwind hit Ganduwetan village, Ngadirejo subdistrict, Temanggung regency, Central Java, on Sunday.

Five residents were rushed to a local health clinic for medical treatment of their injuries, namely Haryono (37) owner of the chip factory, his wife Safaatun (35), and his employees Rismanto (20), Ngatipah (56) and Triyono (21).

Haryono and Rismanto were later admitted to Temanggung General Hospital for medical treatment of their serious injuries.

The Ngadirejo community healthcare center chief Wahyu Praptono said the five injured residents came to the clinic because they suffered injuries from falling rubble of collapsed buildings.
