RF president highly assesses his relations with Japan premier.

TOKYO, November 30 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
highly assesses his trusting and open relations with Japanese Prime
Minister Yukio Hatoyama, head of the Russian president's administration
Sergei Naryshkin said at the meeting with the Japanese prime minister on
Monday.
"I wish to convey to you greetings from President of the Russian
Federation Dmitry Medvedev with whom you had two full-scale meetings over
the past six months," Naryshkin said. "He also highly appreciates the
dialogue established between the two of you," Naryshkin said.
The Japanese premier recalled that in his program statement he had
pointed out the need to build relations with Russia regarding it as a
partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Hatoyama noted there had been
discussions of various themes with Medvedev several times. He said it had
been stressed that as the leaders of the states they should advance the
solution of the territorial issue as two wheels of the same vehicle.
The Japanese prime minister expressed profound condolences over the
tragedy of November 27 when more than 20 people died in a crash of the
Nevsky Express train.
Sergei Naryshkin is staying in Japan as co-chairman of the organizing
committee of the Festival of Russian Culture 2009 that ends in Tokyo on
Monday.
