Seoul stocks trade 0.23 pct higher in late morning

SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.23 percent higher in late
Tuesday morning on foreigners' solid stock buying, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 3.6 points to
trade at 1,559.20 as of 11:20 a.m.
Gains by electronics and banking shares helped the key index trade in positive
terrain as overseas investors increased their holdings of local equities.
The local currency was trading at 1,162.35 won to the U.S. dollar, up 0.55 won
from Monday's close.
