RF def plants to display about 300 mil exhibits at LIMA-'09.

MOSCOW, December 1 (Itar-Tass) - About 300 exhibits of military
purpose are to be put on view by Russian defence industry enterprises at
the LIMA-2009 international aerospace and naval equipment exhibition
opening on Malaysia's Langkawi Island on Tuesday.
An official at Russia's Federal Service for Military and Technical
Cooperation has told Itar-Tass, "In all, 29 Russian organizations,
including ones for military-technical cooperation with foreign countries
will take part in the exhibition. Among them are Rosoboronexport,
Rostekhnologii, the Sukhoi Company, the MiG Company, the Rubin central
naval equipment design bureau and the Tactical Missile Armaments
Corporation.
The Federal Service official specified, "The area of a common Russian
exhibition will be 320 square metres. About 300 military-purpose exhibits
will be on view".
The official said, "For the attention of the Malaysian Ministry of
Defence, the Rosoboronexport is planning to hold the presentation of the
BUK-M2E anti-aircraft missile system, the Tor-M2E AA missile system, and
the Igla-S portable AA system. Displayed in the section featuring naval
equipment and armaments will be the small missile-carrying (artillery)
gunboat Tornado, the patrol ship Korsar, the patrol ship Gepard-3.9, the
small patrol ship Tigr, and the ocean-going patrol ship Gepard-5.1."
An official in the press service of the Sukhoi Company said, "A common
display stand of the Sukhoi and MiG Companies will describe the achieved
level of cooperation with Malaysia, the jetfighters Su-30MKM and MiG-29
that are in service with the Malaysian Air Force, as well as promising
development effort products, such as the multifunctional jetfighter Su-35
and the frontline fighter plane MiG-35".
