2 dead as banditry hits south

HAWTA, Dec. 01 (Saba) - Two people have been killed
after saboteurs committed banditry against many people in the highway linking
Yemen's business
capital and Lahj province in the south.
Saboteurs, a security source said, committed heinous crimes attacking the travelers
in the al-Habilain and al-Malah districts killing two and taking three cars along
with
other properties.
Mohammed Naser Ahmed al-Ansi was killed and his car looted while on his way to Aden
where he planned to spend the Eid holiday.
And the other victim was killed in front of his wife and two sons.
The car which the family was driving to Aden for the Eid holiday was taken by
bandits as well.
They also looted a third car on Sunday night.
Such acts, committing banditry and killing the innocents, were an apparent evidence
of the saboteurs' criminal minds and come within failed plots to destabilize the
public
security, the security source said.
However, the source urged the people to be attentive to avoid being easy targets of
mercenaries.
A hunt is ongoing for the subversives, the source affirmed.
Meanwhile, two cars of those taken by the bandits have been recovered but the
saboteurs are still at large.
