OVER 100 FOREIGN FIRMS INVEST IN MUARA ENIM
Muara Enim, S Sumatra, Dec 2 (ANTARA) - A total of 107 foreign companies have so far invested in various business sectors including coal, oil, gas and other fields in Mura Enim district, South Sumatra, an official said.
Head of Muara Enim`s Capital Investment Board (PM) Hamirul said here on Wednesday the number of foreign investors doing business in Mura Enim had reached 107 companies.
"This indicates that Muara Enim has its own attraction for foreign investors. While this region is rich in natural resources, it is also a safer and more secure place to invest," he said.
He said there were many sectors that had attracted foreign investors such as coal, oil, gas, paper, forestry and many others.
"However investors are also facing obstacles , namely lack of accurate investment data, infrastructure and licensing procedures which have yet to be simplified through a one-stop or one-roof system," he said.
Hamirul said that many foreign investors delayed their intention to invest in Muara Enim due to the obstacles but ahead his said would remove the barriers so that investment would come in smoothly.
"Ahead, investors would be able to do their business easily in Muara Enim district based on easy investment facilities the regional government would provide," he added.
