Seoul stocks trade up 0.37 pct in late morning

SEOUL, Dec. 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.37 percent higher late
Thursday morning on solid buying by institutional investors, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) advanced 5.89 points to
trade at 1,597.52 as of 11:20 a.m.
Market sentiment was buoyed by positive finishes on Wall Street Wednesday with
the tech-oriented Nasdaq ending 0.42 percent higher.
The local currency was trading at 1,157.35 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 3.35 won from Wednesday's close.
