20 DEAD VICTIMS FOUND AT ENTERTAINMENT CITY IN MEDAN

Medan, Dec 4 (ANTARA) - At least 20 dead victims (11 male and 9 female) were found in M City entertainment center in Medan, following a fire which destroyed one of the biggest entertainment centers in Medan city Friday night.

North Sumatra police chief Inspector General Badrodin Haiti during an inspection of the disaster location Friday night confirmed that 20 people were killed in the mishap, but it was thought many more were still trapped in the ruins.

The police suspected that the fire came from the third floor of the karaoke centre, and those killed and injured had been rushed to the Pirngadi hospital in Medan.

The cause of the fire is still being established, and witnesses were still being questioned by the police.

The fire broke out at 8 p.m local time and up till 11 pm. smoke was still coming out of the third floor of the building which was a shopping center, but later built into a fancy entertainment center.
