Tugboat sinks off Busan, crew saved: Coast Guard

BUSAN, Dec. 5 (Yonhap) -- A 24-ton tugboat sank suddenly while guiding a oil
tanker to its anchorage in Busan harbor, the local Coast Guard said Saturday.

The Coast Guard said the "602 Dongsung" was moving a small tanker from a ship
repair yard to an offshore mooring point when it capsized suddenly south of Yeong
Island in South Korea's largest seaport.
The two-person crew was rescued from the water by a passing boat with authorities
conducting an investigation into the exact cause of the sinking.
Strong winds and drop in temperatures have gripped the country, causing
cancellations on passenger ferry services in many ports nationwide.
Many small boats were told to stay in port in the South Sea after waves rose to
3.7 meters in some areas.
