Bahrain pins much hope on GCC summit in Kuwait
MANAMA, December 05, SPA -- Bahraini Minister of Labor Majid bin Mohsin Al-Alawi
said here Saturday his country pins much hope on the GCC summit scheduled to take
place in Kuwait between December 14-15.
"We pin much hope on the upcoming summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in
Kuwait in the field of the labor market reform," he told KUNA.
The Bahraini minister announced that the issue would be discussed during a
conference of Arab labor ministers due in Bahrain in February.
He hoped that the Kuwait gathering would come up with crucial steps for overhauling
the Gulf labor market on humanitarian, legislative and economic bases.
The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar,
Bahrain and Oman.
