hOTEL OCCUPANCY RATE IN BALI REACHES 64.26 PCT

Denpasar, Dec 6 (ANTARA) - The average occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in the Indonesian tourist resort island of Bali in October 2009 reached 64.26 percent.

"Compared to the 63.02 percent reached inn the previous month, the occupancy rate in October increased by 1.24 percent, as the result of an increase in tourist arrivals," Head of Bali's Central of Statistics (BPS) Ida Komang Wisnu said here on Sunday.

He said that foreign tourists arriving in Bali in October were recorded at 225,783, or an increase of 19.31 percent compared to that of a month earlier.
