Amar Singh said the BJP should be thankful to Rao for
his role in the demolition. "Before chanting Jai Shri Ram, BJP
should say Jai Shri Rao."

On Congress party's involvement in the matter, he said
their leader Shankarsinh Vaghela (who was with BJP during the
Babri demolition) has been indicted in the report.
He asserted that SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had warned
on December 4, 1992 - two days before the demolition - that
despite the assurance of then Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Kalyan Singh, the mosque would not survive.
He alleged that the name of Babri Masjid Action Committee
and its member Zafaryab Jilani was being dragged in the
report. "Jilani is being made a criminal. Why?" he said.
The SP leader also described the Liberhan Commission
Action Taken Report (ATR) as worthless.
Babri Mosque was destroyed in 1992 when a political rally
developed into a riot involving 150,000 people, despite a
commitment to the Indian Supreme Court by the rally organisers
that the mosque would not be harmed. More than 2000 people
were killed in ensuing riots in many major Indian cities
