Yemen, France discuss academic cooperation

ADEN, Dec. 06 (Saba)- Aden University Rector Abdul-Aziz bin Habtour discussed Sunday with the French ambassador to Sana'a Joseph
Silva fields of academic cooperation between the Aden University and the French higher educational institutions and means of improving them.

The meeting dealt with the current cooperation fields with the French scientific
institutions in the areas of antiquities and preserving the Yemeni architecture.
Bin Habtour expressed hope the French academic institutions would contribute to
qualifying the teaching staff in Aden University as well as supporting Woman Center
and the
French Department in the university.
For his part, the French ambassador asserted readiness to improve relations of the
academic cooperation between the Aden University and the French academic
institutions.
He noted the importance of the accession of Aden University to the Association of
Francophone Universities which coordinates scientific cooperation among many
international
universities, adding that France will support Aden University to the membership of
the Association.
