SB LiMotive to supply lithium ion batteries to Delphi
SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) -- SB LiMotive Co., a car-battery joint venture between South Korea's Samsung SDI Co. and Germany's Bosch, said Tuesday it has signed a contract to supply lithium ion batteries to Delphi Corp. of the United States.
Under the contract, SB LiMotive will supply the batteries to Delphi from 2012 to
2021, the joint venture said.
"The contract is significantly meaningful because it allows us to explore into
the battery market for hybrid cars," said Park Young-woo, chief executive of SB
LiMotive, said in a statement.
The company did not unveil financial terms of the contract.
