YEMEN, UK REVIEW PROGRESS IN UK-FUNDED PROJECTS



SANA'A, Dec.08 (Saba) - Yemen and UK reviewed here on Tuesday results of the consultative meeting held last November between governments of the two countries and the progress in the UK-funded projects in Yemen.

This came during a meeting gathered Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi and the Country Director at the British Department for International Development (DFID) in Sana'a Joanna Reid and the Communication Consultant of the national agenda for reforms.

They discussed aspects of the current cooperation between Yemen and UK and means of boosting it so as to cope with the joint intends of the two friendly countries.

The two sides also discussed details relating to plans of the future support offered by UK to Yemen until 2011 and the technical support presented by DFID to develop a communication strategy of the national agenda for reforms.

In the meeting, al-Arhabi praised the British government's contributions to enhance the development and reforms in Yemen.

He noted the growing development witnessed by the bilateral cooperation relations based on the principle of partnership between Yemen and UK, affirming Yemen's keenness to boost these relations between the two countries.
