Gazprom, CNPC discuss implementation of gas supply agreement.

MOSCOW, December 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom and
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) have discussed an
implementation of the framework agreement on the supplies of Russia's
natural gas to China, the Russian company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Gazprom's negotiating team, headed by the company's Deputy CEO
Alexander Medvedev, and CNPC delegation held a round of commercial talks
on exports of Russia gas to China.
The sides discussed an action program aimed at the supplies of natural
gas from Russia to China through "the western route, including pricing
issues, and several technical aspects of the project," the company said in
the statement.
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is the biggest state-own
oil and gas company of China and one of the world's leading integrated oil
and gas producing companies. The government possess a 100-percent stake in
CNPC.
Gazprom and CNPC signed the strategic cooperation agreement on October
14, 2004. The agreement envisages a wide range of cooperation activities,
including the creation of routes for supplies of Russia's natural gas to
China,
The sides consider possibilities for the implementation of joint
projects in the gas refining and gas chemistry in Russia's east, and
projects in third countries.
On October 13, 2009, Gazprom and CNPC signed the framework agreement
on terms for exporting Russia's natural gas to China.
The state-run Development Program for the creation of an integrated
gas production, transportation and supply system in Eastern Siberia and
the Far East with possible gas exports to China and other Asia-Pacific
countries (Eastern Gas Program) was adopted in September 2007.
Gazprom was appointed by the Russian government the program
coordinator.
