PAK-LD ARREST 3 LAST

At a press conference, Nihad Awad, national executive
director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an
advocacy group which is working with their families, cautioned
against hasty conclusions about the episode.

Awad, who has seen what he termed as the farewell
video, conceded that this latest episode along with that of
the recent recruitment of young Somali-American men in
Minnesota by a violent group in Somalia suggests that some
young American Muslims were drawn to extremist views.
"I was very disturbed by the contents... It made
references to the ongoing conflicts in the world and that a
Muslim has to do something about them," Awad said.
"We, as a community, recognize that we have a
problem," he added. PTI LKJ
