YEMEN DISCUSSES COOPERATION IN HIGH EDUCATION WITH EGYPT, JORDAN



BEIRUT, Dec.10 (Saba)- Yemen discussed here on Thursday with Egypt and Jordan ways of boosting cooperation between Yemen and the two countries in field of high education and scientific research.

This came during separate meetings gathered Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ba Sura with his Egyptian counterpart Hani Hilal and the Jordanian Walid al-Maani on the sideline of the Arab States 12th Conference on Higher Education kicked off Wednesday in Beirut, Lebanon.

In the meetings, The three ministers dealt with strengthening communication between Yemeni universities and their counterparts in Egypt and Jordan, exchanging the academic and administrative experiences, organizing joint scientific activities as well as availing from the Egyptian and Jordanian experiences in this field.

Ba Surah reviewed with the Egyptian minister conditions of the Yemeni students who study in the Egyptian universities and the difficulties they face, especially in admission procedures to universities.

For his part, the Jordanian minister affirmed his country's keenness on boosting the educational relations with Yemen so as to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
