YEMEN ELECTED DG FOR ARAB ECONOMIC UNITY COUNCIL
CAIRO, Dec. 10 (Saba)- The Council of Arab Ministers of Industry and Trade approved on Thursday, at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, election of Yemen candidate ambassador Mohammed al-Rabee as Director General of the Arab Economic Unity Council.
By his election, al-Rabee will replace the current Egyptian DG Ahmed Juwaily for five years whose 2nd term set to terminate in 2010.
Yemen permanent representative at the AL Abdul-Malik Mansour thanked Arab industry and trade ministers for approving and supporting Yemen candidate.
Works of the 90th round of the Arab Economic Unity Council kicked off Thursday, chaired by Mauritania, with the participation of Arab concerned ministers.
The round discussed a number of economic issues and other important topics with the DG report over the latest economic developments at the regional and international levels as the high importance topic of the round which also included a presentation of the main international economic indicators.
