PERTAMINA SIGNS $700 MILLION LOAN AGREEMENT WITH SEVEN BANKS
Jakarta, Dec 10 (ANTARA) - State oil and gas company Pertamina signed a US$700 million loan agreement with seven private banks on Thursday.
The 5-year loan carried the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) plus 2.5 percent, Pertamina Finance Director Ferederick ST Siahaan said on the sidelines of a function to mark the company`s 52nd anniversary here on Thursday.
The seven banks are ANZ, BCA, BNP Paribas, RBS, HSCB, Mitsubishi OFJ and a joint venture bank.
He said Pertamina would use the loan which is equivalent to Rp7 trillion as capital expenditure in 2010.
"Pertamina will also sign a US$300 million loan agreement next week," he said.
He said the 5-year loan would come from two state-owned banks, namely Bank Mandiri and Bank BRI.
To strengthen its funding sources, Pertamina would soon issue global bonds, he said.
