Rajkhowa and four others, including the outfit's
'commander-in-chief' Paresh Baruah, had founded the ULFA in
1979.

Rajkhowa's real name is Rajib Rajkonwar and he is the son
of freedom fighter late Umakanta Rajkonwar.
The ULFA chairman was produced in a Guwahati court on
December five and remanded to 12 days police custody, a day
after he and his wife Kaveri 'surrendered' to the BSF at the
