W SUMATRA A POTENTIAL BEST WORLD SOURCE OF CLEAN WATER
Padang, Dec 11 (ANTARA) - Water resources in West Sumatra are still naturally well conserved and if professionally managed, it may become a new positive economic asset of the region and even the best of its kind in the world.
The results of research and observation of water resources in West Sumatra by water resource experts have indicated that the province may become the best clean water producer in the world, West Sumatra governor Marlis Rahman said in Bukittinggi Friday.
He made the statement during a socialization of water resources planning and reinforcement function.
He said that world clean water producers would be able to bring welfare to the people in West Sumatra.
