Intensive surveillance on Yemen sea and land passages

SANA'A, Dec.12 (Saba) -
Security has been tightened at Yemeni land and sea exit and entry points amid major
efforts
to thwart weapon trafficking.
The ministry of Interior directed the security authorities in all governorates
particularly those in coastal cities to intensify surveillance at passages and
coordinate
with other forces to hunt arms dealers and foil trafficking operations.
Suspected boats which pass near the country waters should be detected as well, the
ministry ordered.
Controlling the traditional weapon market has been affirmed as police supervise
exits and entries carefully. They intend to eradicate this kind of trade which sank
the whole
community in blood. Weapon trade played an enormous role in delaying the development
path in the country, because it is already a big challenge to authorities.
