LS Industrial to boost sales in China
SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- LS Industrial Systems Co., a South Korean manufacturer
of electronic components, said Sunday it plans to boost sales in China through
mergers and acquisitions as part of efforts to expand its presence in one of the
world's fastest-growing economies.

"We are targeting some players in China to boost our presence, and to set up a
research center in Beijing to compete with foreign rivals as well," said a
company official.
According to the official, LS Industrial, South Korea's leading electrical
equipment manufacturer and automation system provider, is targeting annual sales
of US$1.17 billion by 2015, up from last year's $78 million.
LS Industrial, a unit of LS Group, completed an industrial complex in Wuxi, a
city close to Shanghai, in September 2005, aiming to turn China into its global
production base.
LS Group was spun off from LG Group in 2004.
