RI, SWEDEN DEVELOP TIES IN TELECOM, IT KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Jakarta, Dec 15 (ANTARA) - Indonesia and Sweden have developed a close relation over the past few years -- a relation that has been characterized by rewarding knowledge sharing as well as close business ties, the Swedish Embassy said in a statement.

"It is with sincere delight that we see a great potential to continued dynamic and fruitful cooperation between the countries," the embassy said in a press statement issued here on Tuesday.

In this context, the Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Trade Council are organizing an Indonesia-Sweden Telecom and IT event in Jakarta on December 14 to 16, 2009, bringing a delegation of Swedish telecom and IT experts as well as two Swedish companies of the sector to Indonesia.
The program will consist of a high level seminar as well as customised knowledge sharing session with Indonesian authority of Telecom and IT sector with the participation of the main telecom operators and mobile content providers.

The delegation is headed by Mr Ulf Berg, President and CEO of Swedish Trade Council in Stockholm, and Ms Charlotte Ryme, Head of Swedish Trade Council ASEAN and Trade Commissioner based in Kuala Lumpur.

The key Swedish experts include Ms Marianne Trechow, Director General of Swedish Post and Telecom Agency, and Mr Tomas Bennich, Founder of Swedish Mobile Association and Kista Mobile Showcase, the press statement said.
