PAKISTAN COMMITTED TO IMPROVING RELATIONS WITH INDIA

Islamabad, June 7 (PPI) - Pakistan's Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday said his government was committed to improving relations with India to usher in era of peace in the region. He felt an early, just and peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute in line with aspirations of Kashmiris would help Pakistan and India to achieve their full potential. Talking to Kuldip Nayar, a veteran Indian journalist, parliamentarian and diplomat, he said relations between two countries always improved when a civilian government was in place in Pakistan. "My government would continue to take more confidence building measures to further improve ties. People to people contacts will also be increased," Gilani added.
