Seoul shares trade higher in late morning
SEOUL, Dec. 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded slightly higher late
Wednesday morning as tech and metal gains pared insurance losses, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) added 1.02 points, or
0.06 percent, to 1,666.87 as of 11:20 a.m.
Tech companies traded in positive terrain as both foreign and institutional
investors snapped up tech shares. Market leader Samsung Electronics gained around
0.39 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,165.95 won to the greenback as of 11:20 a.m.,
down 4.45 won from Tuesday's close.
