The inspector Siddhant Shirodkar had allegedly harassed
the complainant. The case was later handed over to Crime
Branch after allegations of goof up were levelled against
the investigating officer.

The judge also noted that the injuries on the girl's
vital parts like thighs and knees indicate that there was no
consent for sexual act on part of the victim.
Referring to the public prosecutor Carlose Fereira's
arguments that the victim's drink was spiked by the accused,
the judge maintained that getting the girl intoxicated was a
design in the preparation for the assault.
The court ordered that since the case requires more
investigation and recovery of the clothes of the accused,
custody of the accused be granted to the police. PTI RPS
