AL-ARHABI: LABOR FORCE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT AMONG GOVT'S
SANA'A, Dec.16 (Saba)- Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi affirmed Wednesday that the labor
force infrastructure development in Yemen is one of the top
priorities of the government strategy for the coming period.
During his meeting with Acting Secretary General of Gulf
Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) Lulwa al-Masnad,
Mujawar pointed that the government gives great attention to
promoting the labor force infrastructure through the quality of
vocational and technical training that meets the labor market.
He pointed out the importance of allocating quotes for the Yemeni
labor in the Gulf markets as a vital access to Yemen's integration
in the GCC system.
Al-Arhabi praised initiatives by some GCC states, including Qatar,
to let a larger area of employment for Yemeni labor, noting that the
labor force has qualifications and professional features that make
it able to meet the Gulf market needs.
He indicated the active governmental efforts to develop and update
the market database as a part of the government strategy aiming to
achieve more openness with the regional and Gulf markets.
For her part, the GOIC's official considered the labor force in
Yemen a strategic human stock for the Gulf market, praising the
contributions of Yemeni labor to enhancing development process in
the GCC countries.
