IFAD PRESENTS $ 10MLN TO SUPPORT FISHING SECTOR IN YEMEN

SANA'A, Dec. 16 (Saba) - Yemen represented by Ministry of Fisheries
Wealth and UN International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD)
signed a memorandum of understanding to fund several projects in
fishing sector in the country.

Under the memo, the IFAD would offer $ 10 million to carry out a
number of projects to develop the fishing sector in Yemen.

The memo was signed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs
and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Kareem
al-Arhabi and head of the development section at the fund Amr Dhafri.

Al-Arhabi expressed appreciation of the Yemeni government for the
fund's support for the development process in Yemen.
