BIBIT LAUNCHES BOOK ``'CORRUPTOR GO TO HELL``
Jakarta, Dec 16 (ANTARA) - Deputy Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bibit Samad Rianto launched a book titled "Koruptor Go To Hell!" (Corruptors go to hell).
In his address Bibit said the book that he wrote was about the anatomy of corruption in Indonesia.
Some parts of the book also dealt with Bibit's experience in dealing with graft when he was a police officer in various regions.
"Hope this book will benefit to our efforts of combating corruption in this country," Bibit said.
The book launching was attended several figures, including member of the Presidential Advisory Council Adnan Buyung Nasution, former Coordinating Minister for the Economy and and Industry Kwik Kian Gie, senior lawyer Todung Mulya Lubis, economist Sri Edhie Swasono and musician Frangky Sahilatua.
On the occasion, Bibit handed over the book to economist Sri Edhie and acting KPK chief KPK Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean.
Copies of the book were also presented to Usman, one of the supporters of Bibit and Chandra by way of a Facebook. Bibit also handed a copy of his book to Ahmad Rifai, Bibit's legal advisor when he was undergoing police questioning at the police headquarters.
After receiving the book, Sri Edhie said Bibit had displayed his consistent firm attitude against corruptors as described in the book. He hoped such attitude is also shown in work as KPK leader.
Sri Edhie said KPK must have the guts and capacity to uncover interesting cases to the people, like the Bank Century and Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance cases.
"In upholding the law there is no bargaining," he said.
The book also describes various ways of corruption. The 171-page book explained how to deal with and prevent corruption.
Bibit wrote the book after he assumed the job of a KPK deputy chairman, and completed the book when the police declared him a suspect. ***
