BNI INCREASES CASH RESERVES BY 30 PCT
Jakarta, Dec 16 (ANTARA) - State-owned bank BNI will raise its daily cash reserves by 30 percent in order to provide cash money for its customers in the face of the year-end festivities.
BNI corporate secretary Intan said in press release on Wednesday the bank would raise its daily cash reserves by 30 percent from Rp339 billion to Rp0441 billion to be put in 4,000 automatic teller machines (ATM) throughout the country, she said.
Intan said that daily cash reserves would be raised for 11 days from December 24, 2009 to January 3, 2010.
The total amount of the cash reserves to be put into the ATMs during the 11 day period would be Rp4.85 trillion.***
